Brigade Models is launching into the new year with a bang — literally — by introducing two magnificent battleships to the Imperial Skies fleet. While our adventures in South America kept us busy, the rest of the world’s great powers have been hard at work, crafting bigger, more formidable airships in their relentless pursuit of sky dominance. Over the coming months, these engineering marvels will make their debut, starting with today’s stars: the Spanish Pelayo battleship and the Italian Da Vinci-class Dreadnought.

The Spanish Battleship Pelayo Named after the legendary 7th-century Visigoth nobleman, the Pelayo epitomizes Spanish naval doctrine with its focus on overwhelming firepower. Equipped with five triple-mounted heavy gun turrets, this vessel can unleash devastating barrages from almost any forward-facing angle within its impressive 270° arc. However, its rear defenses are minimal, a calculated gamble to maximize offensive capabilities. The Pelayo’s clean, elegant lines and trio of square funnels give it a striking silhouette, ensuring it’s instantly recognizable on the battlefield.

The Italian Da Vinci-Class Dreadnought Joining the Royal Italian Air Navy is the imposing Da Vinci-class, a technological marvel and the fleet’s largest addition yet. As the first Italian capital ship to feature turreted secondary armaments, it blends innovation with sheer power. Its two colossal main cannons, housed in A and Y turrets, are among the most powerful in Italian service. Complementing these are slightly smaller, twin-mounted cannons in the Q turret, though their forward arcs are partially obstructed by secondary armament towers. This balanced yet formidable design makes the Da Vinci-class a versatile addition to Italy’s growing aerial fleet.

With the Pelayo and Da Vinci-class, Spain and Italy solidify their positions as Mediterranean powerhouses, capable of rivaling even the great naval triumvirate of Britain, Germany, and France. Prepare for the skies to come alive with thunderous battles as these titans take flight!

Keep your eyes on the horizon—more magnificent warships are set to arrive soon!
